Requirements:
Minimum 40 hours flight time (national average is 65 hours)
20 hours instruction from CFI (certified flight instructor)
10 hours Solo
The instrument rating allows the pilot to fly IFR (instrument flight rules). We have a robust program that includes an 8-week evening ground school as well as full time flight instructors that can accommodate your busy schedules. Instrument training occurs after you obtain your private pilot license and includes procedures specific to instrument flying. The instrument rating includes additional training in meteorology and sole reference to instruments. We have a ground school program for the instrument training as well.
Requirements:
50 hours cross country
40 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated)
15 hours of instruction towards instrument rating
Would you like to make a living by flying planes? You need your commercial license to do that. In order for you to complete your commercial training, you will have completed a total of 250 hours of flight time. The training for the commercial license also includes training in additional maneuvers, farther cross country flights and more night flying.
The multi-engine rating allows the pilot to fly an aircraft with more than one engine. The training and instruction includes understanding more complex aircraft as well as the dynamics of flying with more than one engine.
The airline transport pilot is the highest level of aircraft pilot license you can obtain. The ATP certification allows the pilot to fly aircraft in air carrier service. Most pilots have at least 1,500 hours before obtaining an ATP license.
